Pomerol

Pomerol is located in the east of the Bordeaux region, close to Saint-Emilion, is the smallest producing area, producing the world's most expensive and most attractive wine. Pomerol's has a long history of growing grapes and brewing wine, since the Roman occupied

this region, they brought grape cultivation technology. But the development of the wine industry has a huge difference with the left bank. Grape growing on the left bank has been flourishing since the Middle Ages, while grape growing in pomerol has been exceptionally difficult. During the Hundred Year’s War, the Pomerol vineyards were almost destroyed. It was not until the 15th century that local people began to plant grapes. Pomeranian ,not like Pauillac , where has magnificent luxury wineries, Pomerol didn’t has any powerful royalties , nor wealthy bankers. It was just a farm, sparse tile house, winding country lanes, many people thought of it a "small satellite." Saint-Emilion.  Until after the 70's, it began to rise, after decades of development, today's Pomerol has changed, imperial status in the right bank .
