Pauillac is loocated in the left bank of the Medoc in Bordeaux, famous ofproducing high quality red wine. In 1855 Medoc's classification system, there were a total of four first-level wineries, which is chateau lafite rothschild, Chateau Latour, Chateau Margaux, Chateau Haut-brion, plus chateau Mouton,which was leveled from second to the first level in1973, a total of five wineries. While 3 of them are from the village of Pauillac, perhaps this is why an unknown small village become famous . The vineyards pauillac have an area of about 1,100 hectares ,grown in Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.Cabernet Sauvignon is the most important and the most widely cultivated grape variety, the high quality gravel soil provide an excellent growth environmentfor it.
