This region developed well after The Duke of the Loire region became the British king in the 12th century. And export from 15th century . After the French Revolution and grape root aphid damage. In 1936 the first AOC appeared. From the south of Paris to the north-west, 250 miles to Nantes, white wine and sweet wine are the main products of this region, producing 30 million boxes every year. Due to the Atlantic and the Loire dual impact, the climate here is mild, not too hot in summer, the winter is not too cold, relatively cool. The soils here are diversity, but mainly is chalky lime soil. Grape varieties are mainly Chemin Blanc.

The Pays Nantais made by Muscadet is a fresh, fruity and aromatic white wine from the. These wines also contain a few bubbles. The dry white wine from Gros Plant du Pays Nantais and the Coteaux d'Ancenis are fresh and light .Anjou-Saumur's Rose wine is fresh, delicate and elegant, it can be the dry or sweet wine. Red wine is soft and easy to drink, rich, with raspberry flavor and fruity in taste. The region produces dry white wine with minerals, while also making white wine which is sweet and full of honey flavor. Touraine’s white wine is delicate, easy to drink and fruity. Can be divided into dry, semi-dry and sweet wine,three flavors. The sparkling wine in this area is gentle and easy to drink, with fruit and nuts flavors. Red wine is fresh and raspberry in taste. Haut-poitou’s white wine is light and with high acidity, and a lot of fruit flavor. The white wine from Pouilly-sur-Loire, Pouilly-Fume and Sancerre are refreshing and dry, with green grass and gooseberry taste. Menetou-Salon, Quincy and Reuilly produce delicious white wines and impressed red and rosé wine.
