Medoc represent the whole left bank style of Bordeaux , it is called the "Red Wine’s Treasury", known as the French wine of the Holy Land. People praise the charm of the landscape in Medoc, the beautiful fragrance of wine, but actually, in ancient times here is just a vast expanse of water. According to historical records, there were already vineyards appeared around monastery and aristocratic castles in the medieval. At the end of the 16th century, vineyards were initially formed. In the 18th century, Medoc land began to dry up, people used the expanded dryingswamp area to grow grape. Until 1760, almost all of the vineyards have been established, and in the hands of the royal members of Bordeaux. When the classification system was established in 1855, three of the four first-class wineries were located in the Medoc region. Since then, Medoc wine began to world-renowned.
