cote d’or is located in Burgundy lime soil cliff area, the entire province is also famous because of it. The eastern slopes of the cote d’or are home to many great Burgundy wines such as Gevrey-Chambertin, Clos de Vougeot, Meursalt and Montrachet. The northern half of the golden hill, with leaves - St. George as the center of the zone, known as the cote de nuit, where only produce red wine; and to southern half , cote de beaune as the center, where known as of cote de beaune, while producing red and also white wine.
