Approximately 2000 hectares of the 7,800 hectares cultivated land are used for producing wine. This region is affected by the Atlantic and Mediterranean climate. White wine made by: Mauzac, Chardonnay, chenin blanc, Pinot Noir. Red wine is made by Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Grenache and other grape varieties.
