Monbazillac region produce the most brilliant botrytised wine of this region, early from the Middle Ages,this place has been quite well known, located in the north slope on the south bank of Dordogne River,the soils are mainly in calcareous clay, Fog weather in autumn created a special environment for the production of botrytised wine, which is known for its strong fragrance. The fragrant notes of robiniae and honey are quite common and rich in flavor, suit to pairing desserts, blue cheese and the local foie gras.
